Welcome
Hello! In my work with Musical Theatre as a performer, I want to play an active role in discovering who my character is, why, and how they've ended where they are. I specialize in disability and queer research therefore it's important to me how disabled and queer people are presented on the stage, unfortunately not typically in a good light, and how that can be changed either in the realm of the production or in writing new scripts and scores. In this modern world, accessibility is as important as ever since we have so many technological advances that aid us in making theatre more accessible all around or making the stage accessible for actors to be their own disabled and queer selves in a traditionally non-disabled/queer role and for disabled/queer characters to provide better representation. Performing Musical Theatre is my passion, but more academic studies such as dramaturgy, playwriting, and directing are all in my repertoire, as I strongly believe that an actor should never blindly follow directions or be expected to put themselves in a place of uncomfortability. All parts of a person make a performance whole- and that's really what makes life so complex and desirable. It's important to me as a performer to constantly be analyzing scripts and scores in an academic fashion in order to be a true part of the creative process.
